Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers That Are Saaaweeettt!

I don't know about you, but I've definitely gained the COVID 19—pounds, that is!  Between quarantine boredom snacking and hibernating due to the merciless summer sun, I've done more eating than moving in the last few months.  Part of my problem is a raging sweet tooth.  No matter how hard I try, I just can't curb it!  So, for today's Top Ten Tuesday topic—Books That Make Me Hungry—I decided to celebrate dessert by featuring ten book covers that give me a sugar rush just by looking at them.  Bonus:  These covers might make you drool, but they won't elevate your blood sugar or add inches to your waistline.  Sweet!

In case you've been living under a rock, you should know that Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.  It's a fun weekly meme that helps spread the love all over our wonderful book blogosphere.  If you're not joining in, you really should be.

Top Ten Book Covers That Make Me Hungry for Sweets

Artichoke's Heart by Suzanne Supplee

Rhymes with Cupid by Anna Humphrey

Sally's Candy Addiction by Sally McKenney

Cake Confidence by Mandy Merriman

See You at Harry's by Jo Knowles

Cure for the Common Breakup by Beth Kendrick

The Coincidence of Coconut Cake by Amy E. Reichert

Peppermint Cocoa Crushes by Laney Nielson

The Unlikelies by Carrie Firestone

Cookie Encounter by Michelle Connell

Are these books as delicious as they look?  No clue.  I haven't read any of them.  Have you?  What are the sweetest book covers you've seen?  What books make your tummy rumble?  I'd love to know.  Leave me a comment on this post and I will gladly return the favor on yours.

P.S.  After I finished writing this post, I realized I had already done a TTT list of food-laden book covers back in October 2017.  Apparently, I really like some of these covers.  LOL.

Happy TTT!

  2. I'm with you on the COVID weight! These book covers are really making my sweet tooth act up. Good thing I don't have any sweets in the house at the moment!

    1. You're smart to keep the sweets out of the house. I always have some on hand, which explains the weight gain ... I need some of your self-discipline!

      Thanks for stopping by, Jen!

  3. I agree that these covers themselves leave me wanting to snack. Thanks for visiting my blog.

    1. Yeah, it's amazing what a good book cover can do - it can grab our attention, evoke emotion, and even make our stomachs growl!

      Thanks for coming by, Anne!

  4. I read two of these - The Unlikelies and Cure for the Common Breakup. I love ice cream, so both covers are winners for me. The first one makes me want to poke the bottoms to find the caramels.

    1. Ha ha. You're one of those, huh? Whenever I buy boxes of chocolate, I find half-eaten ones from my kids biting into them to see what's inside. I like the boxes that tell you which flavors are in the box.

Thanks, as always, for coming by and commenting, Sam!

  6. I think I need cake now. And ice cream. I haven't read any of them but they look like romances.

    Have a lovely day.

    1. Cake and ice cream is always a good idea, in my opinion :)

I didn't really read the plot summaries of any of these books, but I think most are romances? Not sure.

    1. I do love me a box of chocolates! I prefer ones where I can choose what's in it, though - like they do at See's. Yum.

  8. I'm more of a savoury person but I really want some chocolates or something now. Great post!

    1. Based on your spelling of "savory," I'm guessing you're not in the U.S. Too bad! Costco has these amazing chocolate caramel macadamia nut clusters. A little salt with your chocolate - they're perfection. Yum.

  24. Why does a book with Artichoke in the title have chocolate on the cover? I don't understand. XD
That sundae looks amazing and I want one even though I only just had breakfast. XD
    That cake is absolutely beautiful.
The Coincidence of Coconut Cake is on my TBR but it's not a genre I normally read so IDK if I'll ever actually get to it. I just think the cover is really cute. :P
That's gotta be a record for how many marshmallows you can fit into one cup. O.o
And the Unlikelies cover is so cute too! I love the art style. :) Great post!
