BBB Steps Into 2018—FINALLY!
5:50 AM
Get out the noisemakers and shoot off some fireworks—Bloggin' 'bout Books is finally ready to step into the new year! Phew. After the reviewathon of the past few weeks, I am done reviewing books that I read waaaayyy back in 2017. Thank you for your patience during this catch-up process. Thanks, especially, for continuing to visit and comment. I appreciate your support more than you know. Because I enjoy blogging so much, I would probably do it even if no one read a word I wrote, but it's a lot more fun to have book conversations here rather than just monologues, so THANK YOU.
I'm going to take a little break from reviewing (your feed readers will be so relieved), but I will be responding to comments, visiting your blogs, and updating some things this weekend.
Thanks again for your support. What's everybody reading these days? I'm about 1/2 way through Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson and I am loving it!

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.
P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!

I've heard some good things about Truly Devious and I'm excited to read it. I read all of Maureen Johnson's YA books from a few years ago and really enjoyed them. This one sounds different than her other stuff, but change can be a good thing!
ReplyDeleteAnd welcome to 2018! If it makes you feel better, I didn't post half of my year-end stuff for 2017 and I don't think I will. All those "best of" lists? They didn't happen. ;)
You’ve been knocking out reviews like crazy! I’m proud of you. You deserve a break! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are caught up. I didn't mind at all but kept thinking - what a lot of work! Will be interested in what you think about Truly Devious. I'm closing in on the final hours of listening to Alafair Burke's new book, The Wife. Mixed feelings about some things right now. We'll see how it plays out.
ReplyDeleteGood job! My book club has me reading "My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry." It's more interesting than I expected so far, but the anti-fantasy members of the club probably won't be impressed.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to 2018! ;D
ReplyDeleteI am going to finish Tears of Salt tonight; it's so interesting but pretty intense.
ReplyDeleteCongrats for catching up! And, welcome to 2018! Enjoy your break. :D
