A Post-Hawaii Hop
11:21 AM

On to this week's question: As a book blogger, how do you introduce yourself in your profile?
- The short answer is: Look over on my left sidebar and you can see for yourself. The long answer? I decided to go with more of an introduction to the blog rather than to myself on the main page, since I figure that's what new visitors most want to know. My intro's kind of wordy, but it gets the job done :) The (More Than You Ever Wanted to Know) About Me tab at the top of my blog gives readers the - optional - opportunity to learn more about me personally. This way really works for me.
How about you? What's your approach? And what do you think of mine? Should I snazz up my profile? My About Me page? What say you?
If you're visiting BBB for the first time, welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Feel free to take a look around and leave me lots of comments. I'll be sure to return the favor. If you're one of my "oldies-but-goodies," thanks so much for hanging out with me. Hopefully, you already know how much I love you and appreciate your loyalty. I'm working on all kinds of new reviews, so whether you're a new reader or an old one, keep checking back for new content.
Have a wonderful weekend, everybody. Happy Reading!

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.
P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!

HI, i DON'T EVEN HAVE MY ABOUT ME ON MY BLOG. i DID AT FIRST AND THEN DELETED IT. nOW, I'M FEELING GUILTY AND GOING TO PLACE IT BACK IF I CAN RECALL HOW. NICE BLOG. HAPPY WEEKEND TO YOU.
ReplyDeletei THINK I COMMENTED ALREADY, NOT SURE. HOWEVER YOUR ABOUT ME IS GREAT. NOW I MUST GO AND PLACE MINE BACK ON MY BLOG. EEK
ReplyDeleteThis week’s Book Blogger Hop really threw me a curveball.
ReplyDeleteThat’s because I don’t call myself a book blogger. I never even considered myself a book blogger. Sure I blog about books and book-related topics week after week. But for some reason I never saw the label of “book blogger” applying to me.
If you’re wondering why then please hop on over to my blog and find out – http://www.howardsherman.net

ReplyDeleteAmy @ Following The Reader
Wonderful blog you have, so very informative. I especially enjoyed reading all about you. I love books, too. So nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteI found this questions very odd =D But I like your answer
ReplyDeleteI recently changed my profile to reflect the fact i'm almost done with library school. Please come and read my new introduction.
ReplyDeleteNice and rambly is good though :) and it lets other people know more about you! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the whole: "...if you've written a profile that says what it needs to and in an interesting way to boot, why not use it everywhere..." but I have to say, I always want to know more about bloggers, which means I'm reading your about me page! I find people really interesting, but don't consider myself like that in the slightest- haha!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, your about me is awesome especially as you have discussed where your intrest for reading first sparked :).
ReplyDeleteNew follower! I love your blog! I like to learn background information about the blogger! Makes it interesting!
ReplyDeleteTia @ Falling For Books
That's prett good idea, most people are more interested in the blog.
ReplyDelete- Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for stopping by my blog :-) I'm following you back now too!
ReplyDeleteThis post is quite fitting, since I updated my About Me page last night. LOL. I think your profile or About Me page should set the tone for your blog. Is it sarcastic or serious? Are the posts personal or more analytic? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog, Susan. I love yours, it's so pretty. On to the intro, I like how you have a bit about how you review on the main page. I might have to do something like that, too...
ReplyDeleteYes, books are our friends, and I remember many summers walking a few miles to the local library to check out books!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hopping by.... Musings of a Book Lover
