Anyway, it's Friday - time for my two favorite book blogging events. I haven't participated in either for a couple of weeks, so I'm ready to do some Hoppin' and Followin'. How 'bout you?
The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Jennifer over at Crazy For Books. This week, she asks: What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog? She's also issuing a mini-challenge that kind of goes along with the question, so check that out.
- I guess the answer to this question is kind of obvious based on the fact that I participate in the Hop and Follow Friday almost every week. Of course, I want followers! And by followers I mean people who officially Follow me on Google Connect, people who subscribe via feed reader, those who check in regularly without any kind of reminder, and especially those who leave comments. I love my readers! I do realize, though, that there are hundreds of book blogs out there. If you don't have time to check mine, I completely understand.
My Google Reader, I have to tell you, is full of book blogs. Several hundred, in fact. All of which I check on at least monthly. I just love book blogs and when I leave a comment on yours saying that I'll be back, I mean it.
Yes, I have stopped following blogs, but usually it's only when the blog goes inactive, the blog's content is offensive, or I go months without looking at it. That doesn't happen often, though.

I was lucky with my 3 that they were all around term time. One was 1 day late,next was 3 weeks early and the last 2 weeks late!

My oldest, who also had a wild NICU ride, is now 21, and my YOUNGEST turns 12 in just a couple of months. No kidding on where does the time go and "I'm not old enough!" I totally get it!

Dizzy C - Thank you! My boys were both preemies, born at 29 weeks. My girls were early, too, but only by 4-5 weeks. It wasn't until the last one that the doctors finally figured out that my uterus is deformed (it's bi-corneal) - Who knew?

Happy birthday to your son! And thanks for visiting my blog. It's good to meet you. Even more so as I see you're a cross stitcher too! I have to admit though that I haven't put a stitch in since June. I think finishing a very large piece earlier this year kinda put me in a bit of a stitching rut. Anyhow, I'm going to go take a peek at some other posts on your blog now :)

ReplyDeleteI stop following a blog if I find that I'm not really engaged in what they're writing. If I constantly find myself just skimming the posts I'll stop following.
I don't or haven't yet stopped following blogs and probably won't unless there was a really good reason to. I may not checkon thm all the time but every once while I think I haven't beenthere in awhile and go and check it out and leave a message or two. Anyways, hope you have a good weekend and happy birthday to your son!
