A-Hoppin' I Go

I haven't Hopped in a couple of weeks, so I'm excited to get started. Since Google won't let me Follow any more blogs (which is just annoying), I'm going to skip the Friday Follow for the forseeable future. Not that you should. It's a fabulous event. But, lots of the same blogs are listed on both the Hop and FF, so I'll still be able to find a bunch of new ones (*shivers in anticipation*).

If you've never participated in the Hop, click on over to Crazy for Books for all the details.

This week's question is: "What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"

- Two books come to mind, actually. I didn't care for The DUFF by Kodly Keplinger or Evermore by Alyson Noel. Most bloggers seemed to enjoy both. Not me. 'Course, I rarely mind expressing my dissent, so posting my somewhat negative reviews really wasn't that big a deal.

If you're here from the Hop, please let me know so I can drop by and check out your blog. For Followers new and old, welcome to BBB and enjoy your stay :)

Okay, a-Hoppin' I go. Have a fabulous weekend!

  1. Just hopping by to say Hi. I’m fairly new to the wonderful book blogosphere, so I’m still anxiously waiting to read my first overhyped book within the community...

Stop by if you get a chance. http://twobibliomaniacs.blogspot.com

  2. Hopping thru..

I haven't read those books and it really hasn't happened very often to me that I didn't like an overhyped book.

    Happy Friday!

  3. I liked Evermore, but also not mindblowing or anything.

    Thanks for hopping by!
    I'm your newest follower.

  9. It is always a must to be honest in reviews regardless of how they came out. With all the answers that I am seeing it really shows that everything depends on a person preference in how they will love or hate a book.

Dropping by from the hop. Visit me at Clandestine Sanctuary to know my answer. I am already a follower. :)

    Have a great weekend.

  12. I'm hopping on by ... I've really just started blogging on books so I don't have many reviews. I don't read very many hyped books, I've been reading a lot of old classics lately. Good for you though on being honest on how you feel about what you read :).

  14. New follower!

I haven't read those books, so it is TBD if I like them or not.

  15. Hopping back over to you :)

I had heard nothing but great reviews for The Duff, but now as a result of this question I've seen two people say they didn't like it all that much. I haven't read it yet, so I guess I'll have to see for myself.

  16. Hopping through. I liked Evermore, but I didn't like the second book. Then I gave the series up.

  17. Ah yes, Evermore. I haven't read it but I can think of a few bloggers who like it because it's so bad that it's good type of thing.

  18. Returning the Hop! I really do enJOY this Book Blogger Hop, I've met some great book enthusiasts!

  19. Oh! I was the same about The DUFF. I liked the cover but when I started to read what the book was actually about, I was a bit like "meh!"

Thanks for hopping by my blog! I like yours :) Love your header, so cute!

  20. Hopping by to say hi! I'm glad I haven't read those two books. Hah.

    Have a great weekend!

  21. I've seen mixed reviews on both of these. They're both on my TBR list. Thanks for stopping by Let Them Read Books and entering the giveaway!

  22. hmmm haven't read the DUFF yet but I hope that I still do like it. I usually only read reviews if I'm skeptical about a book and try to avoid reviews of books that I want to read so I don't get influenced.

    Thanks for stopping by. :)

  23. I've seen so many glowing reviews for The Duff that I feel I should read it, and yet the premise doesn't appeal to me. I think I'd end up with the "too old" problem. This may be the underlying reason for my negative reaction to the characters in Before I Fall.

  24. Hi...just "hopping" by your blog...how's your little girl doing?

  25. Thanks for hopping by :) Evermore series - I wonder whether it is an age-thing :)

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.

P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!
