A Groggy Update
9:01 AM
I threw my husband a big BBQ/pool party for his birthday last night, so I'm a little groggy. Hopefully, this post makes sense :) Anyway, I just wanted to mention two things really quick before I go back to bed energetically start my housework.
First, I joined two new challenges. Yes, I am aware that I just FAILED to complete two that I signed up for, but I just can't help myself. You can laugh at my challenge addiction here on my challenge blog.
Also, I updated my list of book blog links. I entered about a dozen, but I still feel like I'm missing people. If yours isn't on there, would you let me know? Don't be shy - one of the best way to drive traffic to your blog is advertising! Plus, I love reading book blogs - I don't want to miss any.
That's it. I'm gonna run out for a smoothie, then I'm hitting the hay. I'm SO not a party animal. *Yawn*

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.
P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!

If you would want to add my blog, that would be great! I have you on my google reader. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sharing your grogginess today believe me!
ReplyDeleteMy blog isn't on your list either!
What about the house cleaning you were planning to do? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'd go for the smoothie and then a nap too, personally! I'm definitely not a party animal and would be worn out too. As it is, the heat is sucking all the energy out of me.
My husband's birthday was Friday also!! Big change though, we planned a "service for Dad" party at 6am Saturday morning. We told all the kids that dad didn't want any birthday or Father's Day gifts - he just wanted their "service." All 5 of our kids came and helped shovel 3 tons of gravel and worked for him. I served a ginormous breakfast to loads of people and afterwards we had the great Marshmallow Shoot-out with homemade Marshmallow guns and mini marshmallows. Our backyard looked like a hailstorm!! I finally completed my first challenge - is an addiction in my future??
ReplyDeleteJust so you all don't think I'm too lazy ... my family actually biked to the smoothie shop. We had to jump in the pool first, because it was really hot outside. We actually got free smoothies, because it was National Flip Flop Day. What we won't do for a freebie :)
ReplyDeleteI confess that after that, I laid around and relaxed. I did no housework whatsoever!
You gals whose blogs I neglected to list - I have you on my feedburner. I'll put your blogs on my blogroll ASAP.
Gaye - What a fun Mom you are! My husband probably would have liked a day of service better than a party, but my kids are definitely more of a hindrance than a help when it comes to yard work and such! And, yes ... I see addiction in your future! LOL.
