It's Raining Books! Or, Top Ten Books On My TBR List That Feature Rain

What's the April weather like in your neck of the woods? In my corner of the Sonoran Desert, it's HOT, like in the 90s and above. We've had some overcast skies in the last week, but no rain, sadly. None is predicted in the forseeable future either. Boo hoo. Maybe this week's Top Ten Tuesday topic—April Showers—will act as a rain dance to bring our parched desert some much needed moisture. A girl can dream!

For my list today, I'm going to keep things simple and highlight ten books on my TBR list that feature rain in some way or another. I've had a long day, so I'm not going to include plot summaries, but I will link the book titles to Goodreads. How's that?

As always, Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the lovely Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Top Ten Books On My TBR List That Feature Rain
- in no particular order -

There you go, ten books on my TBR list that feature rain in some way or another. Have you read any of them? What are your favorite "rain" books? I'd love to know. Leave me a comment on this post and I will gladly return the favor on your blog.

Happy TTT!

  1. April weather in Toronto is generally pretty rainy. Temperatures hover around 10 Celsius, but can range from 0 to 20 or so. (Or 50 Fahrenheit with a range of about 33 to 68). I wish I could share some of our rain with you!

  2. Nice list - don't think I've read any of them, but they fit the topic for sure. Sorry you haven't had rain. We have had some in the last couple of days - actually more than could be handled in some spots. Wish it wouldn't all come at once and then some flooding occurs. Anyway, hope you guys get some too. Have a good week, Susan!

  3. I loved Rainy Day Sisters and am adding Isaac's Storm to my TBR as well as several others. April here in North Alabama can't make up its mind. Sometimes it's cold (60s) sometimes it's warmer (80s) sometimes it's gray and dreary and then it's absolutely gorgeous. You never know what you'll wake up to!

  5. Oddly enough I saw Weather Girl sitting face out today at the library and I thought of this topic. I don't know what it would be like to read but it certainly fits in with this TTT.

  6. Here in the north east of England it's a typical April with lots of showers but also sunny spells. I'm amazed at all these rainy book covers - and I haven't read any of them!

  7. I'd never heard of Shouting at the Rain, but the cover had me check it out and add to my TBR for when I'm looking for MG.

  8. I'm with Louise, I did the same thing. I also added the Kate Hewitt book, as I have enjoyed many books she has written. Nice list, Susan. We have had lots of rain over the last week, and everything has greened up nicely. Enjoy the rest of your week.

  9. A great list. I include links to Goodreads to save on time and space 😂 I've been wanting to read Weather Girl for years. Maybe one day I will get round to it!

  10. I'm impressed that you found ten books for this topic! I was struggling with the rain/water theme, which is why I went with blue covers! I haven't read any of these.

  11. Is 90s really considered hot in your neck of the woods? AZ gets crazy hot though it snowed the one time I visited in March. You found some great books to feature. This prompt was harder than I thought it would be.

  15. Our April tends to be hormonal in that four-seasons-in-one-day kind of way. Lovely temperatures during the day, but close to freezing during the night. And best not to get used to it because it might be very different next week!

  28. Okay, I have a title that fits with the theme, even if it isn't specifically about rain. Check out The Fair Weather Friend by Jessie Garcia! It's a thriller about a missing meterologist!
